Katherine Thorp Everett was born on June 21, 1969, to her parents, Chad Everett and Shelby Grant. Chad was an American actor famous for playing Dr. Joe Gannon in Medical Center. Her mother, Shelby Grant, was an actress as well. Katherine has one sibling, her younger sister Shannon Everett.

Education and Career

On education, Katherine Thorp studied up to the university level, having graduated from San Diego State University, though what she pursued in college has not been revealed. Her younger sister also studied up to the university level graduating from Santa Barbara University.

Moving to her career, Katherine was the Chief Executive Officer of Beauty Noted. She was also the owner of Real Girls Media Network, a media network for women aged 25-54, before selling it to Meredith Corp in 2010. When Katherine Thorp Everett was 28, she started her interactive agency Lot21, where she was the president and CEO.

Personal Life

In her personal life, Katherine Thorp is married, and as of 2012, she had three children; Lauren Thorp, Connor Thorp, and Zachary Thorp. Details of her husband have not been made public.

Her Father

Katherine Thorp’s father started acting at 14 in stage plays. Chad said that he ventured into acting because he is easily bored and could vent his feelings through acting. After graduating with a degree in drama from Wayne State University, he began his professional acting career, making his debut in an episode of Surfside 6.

Chad Everett got his major role when he was featured on the medical drama Medical Center as Dr. Joe Gannon, a show that aired for seven years. His other appearances came in The Singing Nun, Star Command, Mulholland Drive, Melrose Place, Touched by an Angel, She Wrote, and Centennial.

For an acting career that spanned around forty years, Katherine Thorp’s father featured in more than forty films and television series.

Besides acting, Katherine’s father was also a philanthropist; he co-hosted The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon, which raised money for Muscular Dystrophy. Katherine’s parents participated in philanthropy, sponsoring more than twenty pediatric heart surgeries.

Katherine Thorp Everett’s father married Shelby Grant on May 22, 1966, in Tucson, the same location he was filming Return of the Gunfighter at the time of his wedding. Despite his problem with alcoholism, Shelby never threatened to leave him. The couple, who were married for over four decades, renewed the wedding vows every seven years, with Katherine and her sister officiating two.

Chad Everett died from lung cancer he had been battling for one and half years on July 24, 2012, aged 75. His body was cremated, and his ashes were combined with his wife’s, who had died a year earlier.

Katherine Thorp Everett is not so active on social media platforms, but she is on Twitter, having joined it in 2009 but does not tweet as much.

Having worked in the media industry for a long time and acting as a CEO for several organizations, Katherine Thorn must have made a good fortune to support her three children. However, her exact net worth is unknown.
